Meet Our Team
Hi, my name is Sierra!
Let's talk about it.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia. I am passionate about serving those who are struggling with depression, anxiety, motherhood, life transitions, and college stress. Felicity is defined as intense happiness which is the ultimate goal of this practice! At times, life throws some hardships which harm our mental health, BUT acknowledging this is the first step. In the current mental health crisis, it is essential that we address issues that are hindering us and preventing us from continuing on our journey of happiness and healing. The ultimate goal in life is to be happy! Regardless of what that looks like for each person individually; everyone can collectively agree that happiness is the key.
I am a strong believer that every one of us has the ability to use coping skills, even in challenging situations. The issue comes in when we don’t know how to utilize them! It is my goal for us to identify these skills and create an invisible toolbox so that you can utilize the appropriate tool at the right time. It is my goal to help you polish the rusty tools that you haven't used in a while and make room for new and improved tools that are just for you. Although life may feel all over the place, having someone to help you “make it make sense” can be beneficial!
I enjoy doing non-profit work, traveling, being outdoors, family, and art. I am an advocate for the voiceless! Also, I am not above using bad puns in therapy and laughing at myself more often than not. I believe that one of the most important things in therapy is a good relationship with your therapist (because why talk to someone you don't like)?
I attended Virginia State University where I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2013. I obtained a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and a Master's degree in Psychology from Walden University. Currently, I am a doctoral candidate at Walden University, where I am studying Clinical Psychology. Since 2013 I have worked in the mental health field treating children, teens, and adults with a wide range of diagnoses and life circumstances.
I appreciate the time you have taken to read a little bit about me! Therapy is all about the “ perfect fit” and the relationship between therapist and client. Please feel free to contact me and schedule a 15-minute free consultation to dip your toes into telehealth and meet me!
